Notice of Change to Conditions of Service Document

The Distribution System Code requires that every distributor produce its own “Conditions of Service” document. The purpose of this document is to provide a means of communicating the types and level of service available to the customers within the distributor’s service territory.

The current version of the Conditions of Service was published in 2017. Since then, various changes to regulations and codes that govern Distributor activities have come into effect, which in turn require updates to the original document.

The revised document is available to view here.  Customers without internet access may obtain a copy of the revised Conditions of Service at our office at 200-395 Centre St N, Huntsville On P1H 2M2

The public is invited to make written comments on the revisions. Comments will be accepted until July 15th, 2019. Please direct all written comments to either:

CONSERVATION FIRST FRAMEWORK ANNOUNCEMENT

Effective March 21, 2019, the Minister of Energy, Northern Development and Mines directed the IESO to discontinue the current 2015-2020 Conservation First Framework (CFF) and implement a new interim framework, in support of the government’s goal to reduce electricity costs for customers. http://www.ieso.ca/en/Sector-Participants/Conservation-Delivery-and-Tools/Interim-Framework

Lakeland Power Distribution Ltd. will continue to manage projects with customers with whom they have binding agreements. Customers with existing contracts can still expect to have the incentive paid on project completion (which must be by Dec. 31, 2020).

Applications to the new suite of business programs will be completed through the IESO.
